Have you ever found yourself yearning for an adventure? Perhaps it’s because your life feels somewhat like the journey of molasses: thick, heavy, a bit sticky and tortoise-speed slow. It’s ever a wonder why we face ourselves in the mirror, determined to speed up the process; whether this outcome is negative or positive; (of course, initially seemingly positive, only to reveal itself as the negative choice it’s always been in time).
In timely exploration, your soles, a little gusto and clear conscience is all you need.
Exploration, at the core, is defined as our ability to see, learn and do something new; Experience and interact with surroundings using new eyes and thoughts that don’t bring any preconceived notions to the table. I embarked upon another exploration today, stepping foot on a campus that laid key elements to my artistic foundation: George Mason University. Nearly a decade ago, this is a place where I found artistic self, sharpened my eye for angles, symmetry, aesthetic reasoning and the like.
Upon this visit, the smells were different; most faces unknown, and yet, what was the same was a strong sense of self that I recalled gaining while here.
I explored the sidewalks, the halls of a place that I had once remembered, with new eyes and a new mind; it brought me to an even greater level of peace that had once walked with me years ago.
Never stop exploring- for the gift it gives you can carry you for seasons.
